In the early 1990s | realised that our cable TV system used inline filters to filter out the premium channels. The neighborhood cable distribution box was in our back yard and it was not locked. Lunscrewed the filters for our house and connected the ends together: Suddenly we had Disney; HBO, and Cinemax started worrying that a technician might notice that the filters were missing: To solve this, drilled out the centers of the 3 filters and reinstalled them: also somehow ran single solid copper wire all the way through the center of the 3 filters. The wire performed perfectly as the center conductor of the coax We had the premium channels for several more years; until they changed the cable technology: still have those drilled out filters ARCOM Made LABS ArcOM La3s
